ITO (糸) — literally “thread” in Japanese — symbolizes connection, continuity, and the delicate yet resilient bonds linking people, nature, and time.

The ITO brand was born from a desire to intertwine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with a contemporary vision of beauty and harmony. 

Every piece is handcrafted with reverence for materials, meticulous attention to detail, and deep respect for the core philosophies of Japanese design: wabi-sabi (beauty in imperfection), shibui (understated elegance), and ma (the meaningful space between forms).

The brand’s founder draws inspiration from Kyoto’s age-old artisanal heritage, the refined aesthetics of ikebana, the flowing lines of kimono, and the natural allure of stones shaped by time.
